My Night With Kresley & Paul

I decided to live a little and take the day off of work yesterday to drive to New Orleans for the Kresley Cole Lothaire signing. And I am so glad I did. It was a fantastic experience.

Kresley Cole was so funny and so sweet. She talked about how dear the Valkyries are to her heart. She joked about how much she is enjoying her time on the bus with cover model Paul Marron. And she made my heart happy by saying the Lanthe and Thronos story will more than likely be a full-length novel.

Of course, I have to mention the eye candy portion of the evening. Paul Marron was sooo nice. He was respectful and charming. (He held the door open for my friend.) He answered rude questions (like the one from the lady who asked him if he was gay.) And he dealt with women of all sizes, ages, and levels of intoxication as they drooled over him. One exceptionally drunk woman begged him to grab her tits for a photo.  He obliged. (No. It wasn't me.)

Paul was patient when my stupid camera wouldn't work and I stood there wrapped around him for a good minute or two. --And while I was there, I couldn't help but notice how slender he is in person. I didn't get his clothes off, but we did spend some quality time together.

Topping off all of this, I got to meet some of my Twitter/ blogging friends like Rachel from Parajunkee, Vanessa the Jeep Diva, Trish (Pickyme), and Patti from Caught in a FAB Romance. I apologize for any, er, inappropriate behavior brought on by my five glasses of champagne. (Let's just pretend that part didn't happen.)

Trish, Vanessa, and me

Patti, Rachel, and me

All in all, it was a fantastic night. Kresley & Paul were both amazing. A big, big thanks to them both for providing such a great experience for fans.

I loved this tour. It was so much fun. Wish more of my favorite authors had the opportunity to something like this more often.

Oh, so jealous! He is so incredibly hot. I love how you are actually holding open his jacket so you can see his chest! I am impressed.

I have also learned my new trick - taking a picture with a hot guy? Have "camera trouble"! ;-)

Sounds like you had a wonderful time! I'm definitely jealous!

It's just no fair; not many authors (well, let me rephrase, not many romance authors) visit little old Utah. Are they afraid of the state's prominent religion? I know perhaps there isn't as many romance readers (what I call "real romance", not counting Christian Fiction crap) here as in other states, but I can't be the only one in the whole damn state! LOL.

Enjoy!

I'm sorry! Everyone should get a chance to see their favorite authors. I wish we had more signings in the southeast!

So fabulous. I am glad you made a post of it. I've been enjoying other peoples tweet pics but it is cool to read more than 140 characters. lol
Also so cool you got to meet up with some of your Twitter friends. I am sure it was the best day off work ever. LOL

Congrats. It is such a buzz meeting authors you adore in person and they are equally as awesome.

We've all had some drunken moments we'd rather forget. (Believe me, I do!) I wish we would have recognized each other as well. :)

Oh my God Jennifer! I can't even imagine, I was really mortified about her asking him if he was gay! more than the boobs part oh no!.. I might have to leave them home! just kidding... they're my friends and I love them, just have to watch their alcohol intake before 5pm.
They are really very nice girls, plus I'm not guilt free myself, I was real tipsy too..lol, I had strangers coming over and asked my If I could get back on line to get them another glass of champagne.
What ever happens in New Orleans stays in New Orleans... shoot.. is Las Vegas you dummies..LOL
Changing the subject... Kresly Cole is beautiful!! so much so in person.
Didn't you think so Jen?

Kresley Cole was lovely, inside and out. And I was totally guilty of hitting the champagne multiple times and sending my glass back with people for refills. LOL.

I didn't realize it was the same woman who asked him if he was gay that had him grab her boobs. I didn't see the boob thing take place... just heard everyone talking about it. Paul seemed to take everything in stride. Such great manners!

I am so super jealous!! I wish I could have gone. No one ever comes out to Phoenix. I guess its just to hot for authors or too close to Vegas and LA so they skip this city entirely. Boo! I'm glad you had fun and got to meet some fellow bloggers in person. =)

It looks like you had a FABULOUS time Jen! I am also jealous that you got to go to such an awesome author event...now of course I wouldn't have appreciated it as much as people who have been able to read her work would, but it'd still be fun to go and meet people and a very well-known author. I know...I know...I really need to check out her Immortals After Dark Series. :-P
