Follow Friday: Preparing for Zombies

Follow Friday is one of the best ways to find other bloggers and network!  Check out Parajunkie's View to learn more!

Q. What are you doing to prepare for an upcoming zombie apocalypse and/or the return of Mel Gibson to the silver screen? (Both of which could be terrifying.)
A. This is an excellent question which also quite timely for me, since I just finished the uber-awesome Rebirth by Sophie Littleton. So, I have to say that the first thing I need to do is a rewatch on Zombieland.  After all, they have such fantastic and no-nonsense tips in that movie. Maybe I should write them down.  I'd like to think I could stock up on some canned goods, but the problem is --you never know when these things are going to happen in advance. Maybe I should construct some sort of kit and keep it in the attic.  After all, everyone knows that zombies can't climb.  Crap. The more I think about it, the more I'm afraid I'll be a goner in the first wave.

Wow, so practical! I'm coming to bunk in your shelter when the zombies strike, just so you know.

Also, putting Zombieland on my to-watch list. Enjoy your weekend!

You could always just concoct an all-purpose disaster box (for tornados, zombies, etc), that way other people don't think you've lost your mind...not that we really care about that though, they'll be sorry they didn't prepare when the zombies are eating them! And I'm just now seeing your sidebar - is Rebirth a sequel to Aftertime? I really liked that book, did not even know there was a sequel coming out!
Following you now!

Yes! Rebirth is part 2 of the trilogy. I liked it even better than Aftertime. I'm holding the review until a month before release. (It will be up on 6/19.) But I can tell you that it is exceptional. Littleton is also posting a short-story on her website that serves as a bridge between the two books in early July.

Wait. Zombies can't climb? So they can't run and they can't climb...so why are people being eaten again?

Dropping in for Follow Friday and I'm a new follower! Thanks for stopping by to see me earlier! Canned goods aren't a bad idea, they're heavy and could be used as a weapon against attacking zombies! :)

As the saying goes – the best defense is a good offense. I’ve got that covered! My preparations for the zombie apocalypse are not just intricate, they’re stylish. I’m not talking “last stand” stuff here. I mean to lure in the zombies and slaughter them wholesale while we sip champagne and watch.

How am I going to do that? Follow me back to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net and read all about it.

Thank G-d it’s Follow Friday!

Hey, there, Jen! Thanks bunches for visiting my blog and becoming a follower! I'm going to follow you back, as well!

BTW, I had no idea zombies couldn't climb...interesting fact. I wonder if Mel is aware of this. Maybe I should contact one of my...er...now tentacle-less informants so it can relay the news to Mel before his documentary comes out...

And I don't think you'd be doomed in the first wave. Not with your zombie-fighting skills! Remember those weird karate classes you took, back in California?

C ya! : )
