Interview & Giveaway: Carly Fall

Joining us today is PNR author Carly Fall. Please help me welcome her to the blog!

Jen: Tell new readers about the Six Saviors series.

Carly: First, thank you for having me, Jennifer. I appreciate it! The Six Saviors Series is the story of six Warriors of the planet SR44 who have been sent to Earth to clean up the evil that has been accidentally unleashed from their planet. They thought the job was going to be easy and they would only be gone from their home for a short time, but they misjudged, and they have been here for over two hundred years.

To blend in with humans, they have been given large, warrior bodies. The only way people know that they are not human is by the glow from their eyes when the sun sets, and they try to keep to themselves after sunset. These books are their stories where we find out about them, one specific Warrior per book, and we learn about their faults, insecurities and vulnerabilities. Oh, and their sex lives as well ;)

Jen: The people of their home planet SR44 aren't like most aliens we'd imagine. Let's talk about them and how they're different from we are.

Carly: First off, I do have to say I hate the word "alien," but let's call a spade a spade, because that's what they are. I didn't want my aliens to be these creatures set on taking over the Earth, or ugly or mean. When I think of the term "alien," I immediately think of E.T., that awful creature from the move Alien, Alf, and that guy they supposedly captured down in Roswell with the big head and eyes. I wanted my aliens to be beautiful, and come from a beautiful place - a sort of utopia. The beings from SR44 all live in a cohesive peace, and they have no desire to take over any world. They live in cities consisting of golden buildings, as well as in the lush forests. It is twilight there for many hours per day.

Their forms are wispy, swirling smoke, each a different color. For example, let's take Noah from The Light Within Me. On SR 44 his form was a vibrant orange. Rayner from Finding My Faith was a vibrant red. These are the colors that shines from their eyes when the sun goes down here on Earth.

Jen: In the first book, you mention that some of the warriors had "wives" on their home world. What's up with that? These women aren't just waiting around for their husbands to come back, are they?

Carly: Yes, some did leave behind "wives." However, they live to be about 2000 years old, give or take a century, so waiting around 200 years isn't that long for them. In future books, this will be touched on more :)

Jen: I find myself most intrigued by Hudson. Will he ever be able to love again or is he broken? Since he is a man-whore, does that mean his book will have more sex? (*waggles eyebrows*)

Carly: LOL! Everyone loves my boy Hudson. I'm currently working on his story right now, so I don't want to divulge too much, except to say that yes, there is more sex in his book. What's a story of a man-whore without sex? ;)

Jen: Who is your favorite among the Saviors and why?

Carly: This is such a hard question for me. I love all my Warriors. I love Noah's bluntness, Rayner's gentle nature, Hudson's playboy attitude, Cohen's annoying little habits, sense of humor and his ability to heal the Warriors. I love Talin's intellect, and Jovan's ability to feel other people's emotions by touching them. I supposed if I could wrap them all into one, that would be my favorite :)

Jen: Do you plan to write a book for each warrior? Will any of them actually become human in the course of the series?

Carly: I do have a book planned for each Warrior. I am toying with the idea of one of them becoming human - I haven't fully decided yet - but I'm definitely leaning that way.

Jen: Will you share a little snippet from one of the books?

Carly: This is a snippet from The Light Within Me. Noah has never been with a human female. He's watched a bit of porn, but that's about as far as his sexual experience has gone...

Noah was pretty certain he had found heaven on Earth when Abby pulled him down on top of her. He loved the feeling of the skin-on-skin contact, the way her soft curves met his hard body as they kissed. She tried to undo his belt, but he pulled away. He slid her jeans off, gaping at her naked body, silently thanking whoever was responsible for the design of the human female form for the absolute perfection.
He heard himself breathing heavily, and he wondered what he looked like. He had to be glowing so hard he probably looked like he was spitting fire. But Abby stared up at him as if nothing was wrong, and he reminded himself that humans could not see his skin glow.
He moved his hands over her breasts, down her ribcage, and circled her belly button. He was surprised to see a small amount of brown curls at the top of her sex. In every movie involving sex he had ever watched, the woman had been bare.
He let his finger travel into her secret flesh and felt like his balls had been jacked with a bolt of lightening, but in a really good way. She was hot and slick. He gently traced up the folds, and she began moving against his fingers. He lay down next to her, letting her rub against his hand. He knew his eyes should probably be closed, but he loved watching as he kissed her. Her cheeks were turning pink, and she had a look pure enjoyment on her face. She repositioned herself a little, and suddenly his fingers were sliding deeper into her sex, and she continued moving.
He didn't really know what to do, so he just kept kissing her, watching her move, trying to give her what she wanted as she gyrated against his hand.
He looked down at her breast, the hard pink tip beckoning him. And who would he be to deny such an invitation? He moved slightly so that he could suckle it again. Seconds later, she grabbed his hair and pulled his face to her chest as her hips bowed off the couch. He felt her sex go tight around his fingers, contracting and loosening and doing it all over again. And again and again. At first, he was terrified that he had hurt her, but then he looked at her face. She didn't look hurt in the least bit. She looked like she was thoroughly enjoying herself.
This must be a human female orgasm, he thought. He looked at her in wonder as she called out his name and her hips undulated. After almost a minute, she came to rest. Her breathing was labored, and he laid his head down gently on her chest to listen to her heart thumping rapidly and loudly.
He slid his fingers from her and looked at them. They were shiny and slick and he had a desire to taste them.
     So he did.
He closed his eyes and let out a groan. She was lovely. In fact, he wanted to taste more. He moved down between her legs to the floor, threw them over his shoulders and began tasting her core. He let his tongue swirl—he gently sucked, and he felt like he could go on for hours.

Jen: (I enjoyed that scene.)  Can you tell us who book 3 will be about? Any idea when it will be out?

Carly: I am neck deep in book three right now, which is about Hudson. I'm pushing for Book 3 to be out at the end of June/beginning of July at the latest.

Jen: Thanks so much for sharing your books and for visiting the blog!
