It will have to be great to top Bayou Moon. I adored William and Cerise. On The Edge was the first book of theirs that I read and it got me so hooked on their writing that I plunged right into Kate Daniels and totally fell in love with that series.JenMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08381388317577838604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185738780824295377.post-15996309177484746342011-10-17T16:11:22.904-05:002011-10-17T16:11:22.904-05:00Great review Jen! They do have some really unique worlds floating around their heads and I thought that idea of this one was fantastic. I know what you mean though, it did take me longer to get warmed up to this book then it did to Kate Daniels, but it is worth keeping going though as it is a fan read.

I can't wait to start fate's Edge I have it preordered and waiting for me!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07438191238264290632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185738780824295377.post-47218668779912008122011-10-17T14:59:11.279-05:002011-10-17T14:59:11.279-05:00Brie: I haven't read the Angels of Darkness sh...Brie: I haven't read the Angels of Darkness short yet. But I swear I plan to. The Edge series has been in my TBR pile for a year and I'm ashamed it took me so long to get to it.

I've got to hold the Fate's Edge review until closer to release, but I can tell you that I really enjoyed Kaldar's story. William is my favorite hero of the series, but Bayou Moon really overwhelmed me with the sheer number of characters. Fate's Edge narrowed the focus alot to a core band of people, which made it a much easier read for me.Jen at Red Hot Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01898978782639965956noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185738780824295377.post-87852280462605033192011-10-17T14:54:18.847-05:002011-10-17T14:54:18.847-05:00I loved this book! My favorite book in the series was Bayou Moon (that part with the mother/cannibal flower was the most disturbing scene ever!), William was a great character and I can’t wait to read the next one (can’t wait to read your thoughts on that one).

Did you read the novella that’s part of the Angels of Darkness anthology? It was amazing! I have read mixed reviews about it and IMO it would have worked much better as a full-length novel, but boy, what an incredible imagination. I really hope they write more books set in the same universe because it has great potential!

Great review!Briehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01694232807189281284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185738780824295377.post-8830028289082218722011-10-17T14:29:38.601-05:002011-10-17T14:29:38.601-05:00I've had this on my TBR and wish list for awhi...I've had this on my TBR and wish list for awhile, but haven't gotten to it yet. I wasn't a big fan of the Kate Daniels series after the first book, i didn't love it until the 2nd. I understand that sometimes it takes time to get into the story. Great review though, I still wanna read this, hopefully sometime soon... Book Savvy BabeBook Savvy Babehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10670256728712530527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185738780824295377.post-87606645287596179532011-10-17T14:24:33.988-05:002011-10-17T14:24:33.988-05:00Sounds like a good one!!! I love William (tortured heroes are my favorite.) But I think I prefered Fate's Edge because it was easier to follow than the first two.Jen at Red Hot Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01898978782639965956noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185738780824295377.post-45671027174125692612011-10-17T13:40:58.802-05:002011-10-17T13:40:58.802-05:00I read this book a while ago and liked too.
