It's probably LEVIATHAN WAKES by S. A. Corey as I'm really a sci-fi/fantasy reader. But I was also VERY pleasantly surprised by THE HUNGER GAMES and it's sequels. They were my first YA books and really pretty good.

Ooh... best book I've read this summer? That's a tough one. I think it's a tie between The Help by Kathryn Stockett, Forever by Maggie Stiefvater & Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. They're all so fantastic!
